Motor Development

Physical development of a child has 2 types of important skills – Fine Motor Skills & Gross Motor Skills. Efficient motor skills require a number of independent skills to occur simultaneously to appropriately manipulate the object or perform the task.

For young children of Preschool motor skill development is extremely important Fine motor skills involve movement of the smaller muscle groups in your child’s hands, fingers, and wrists. Gross motor skills involve movement of the larger muscle groups, like the arms and legs.

Focus

We mainly focus on Hand-eye coordination, Bilateral Coordination, Core Muscle, Balance and Coordination, Awareness of space and direction.

We have lot of fun activities involved to improve these skills so that kids can perform their vital daily routine tasks with an ease.

We encourage the activities like: Play-dough, Painting, playing with sponges, gardening and planting, tying of shoelace, opening the lid of the jar, holding paper while cutting. All these activities need both hands to work simultaneously.

Hopscotch,Skipping,Crossing the hurdle or Obstacle Crossing,Balancing on a beam,Climbing the stairs,throwing a ball all these activities involve the core muscle.

Skills

We also help them to build the self-help skills like Self-feeding. Independent dressing and grooming, Hygiene, Helping with daily chores like table setting and picking up toys

With practice, children learn to develop and use motor skills so they can move in their world with balance, coordination, ease, and confidence!

Through play based activities we focus on ability to think , understand and imagine what might happen next.
